Aydem Renewables Receives the “Women-Empowered Board of Directors” Award!

As Aydem Renewables, with four of the eight members of our Board of Directors being women, we have been honored with the "Women-Empowered Board of Directors" award by the 30% Club Turkey, hosted by the Corporate Governance Forum of Sabancı University.

As Turkey's largest company generating energy entirely from 100% renewable sources, we have earned yet another prestigious award for our commitment to inclusivity, diversity, equal opportunities, and gender equality. At the 11th Women Directors in Turkey Conference, organized by the Corporate Governance Forum of Sabancı University under the theme "Transformation Through the Power of Finance: Increasing Female Representation on Boards," we were recognized with the "Women-Empowered Board of Directors" award. Our company received this award for achieving parity according to the Women-Empowered Board Index and being one of the publicly traded companies that made the most progress compared to the previous year.

Receiving the award on behalf of our company, our Board Member Asya Saldanlı expressed our great happiness that our commitment to gender equality has been recognized with this prestigious award and stated:

“We believe that companies where women are represented and actively involved in decision-making processes are stronger, more responsive, inclusive, innovative, and sustainable. In the energy sector,where female representation is low, inclusivity, diversity, opportunity, and gender equality are integral parts of our company culture. We implement various policies to ensure more women are present at all levels, including leadership positions. Our eight-member board of directors includes four women, including myself. We aim to further increase this ratio at all levels in the coming period."
